Upper Watt Street
A calm addition to an early-1900s brick home in Wellington by Seear-Budd Ross, is anchored by a two-tone polished plaster finish across the walls and ceilings. Its soft texture sets the tone for the entire space, working in quiet harmony with lime‑washed brick, oak panelling, and stone.
To achieve the exact tone, a series of samples were worked through along withan in-situ wall once the brickwork was installed. The result is a light, sandy, grey-beige finish that maintains a gentle warmth.
Its restraint is intentional. The polished plaster’s subtle texture and low sheen ensure no single material dominates, allowing the palette to remain calm, cohesive, and balanced.
