Lake Ridge House

Designed by Johnstone Architects and built by the clients construction company Archi‑Build, this Wanaka lakeside home is a testament to modernist principles where form truly follows function. Set on the waters edge, the architecture is paired with an interior conceived by the clients; a restrained, minimal palette that still feels deeply warm and inviting.

High‑performance technology ensures year‑round comfort, while softly rendered walls filter the shifting light, creating a sense of calm as you move through each space. A deep white Suave polished plaster ‘Whitford White’ was used throughout, lending a gentle tactility that softens the modernist forms and enriches the home’s atmosphere.
