Lake Ridge House

Designed by Johnston Architects and built by the clients’ construction company, Archi‑Build, this Wanaka lakeside home uses polished plaster as a defining element. The modernist architecture sets a clear, functional framework, while the interior, shaped by the clients, relies on a minimal, warm palette.

Ambitec Suave in ‘Whitford White’ is applied throughout, giving the walls a consistent, refined texture. The deep white finish softens the strong lines of the home and brings a calm, even quality to the light as it moves through each space. It adds tactility without distraction, grounding the overall aesthetic.

High‑performance systems support year‑round comfort, but it’s the polished plaster that sets the tone, simple, cohesive, and quietly expressive.
